My father died of Alzheimer's in October 2014. As a son I decided to put aside my career and spend my time as a caregiver to my elderly parents. As a photojournalist who lost his job of 20 years, I decided to document this new and painful chapter of life. For more than 4 years I took care of my parents and using the only camera I could afford, an iPhone 4, I photographed the most difficult story of my life.

I once said that I would give anything to be able to spend years photographing a single topic. Be careful of what you wish for.
